"There is a mission field that is readily accessible to the average believer. It is filled with men and women, and boys and girls, desperately needing to have their needs met through the hand of Jesus. That mission field is found in every American community, we must now be the hands of Christ." Pastor Tim Horton. Grace Evangelical Free Church of Massachusetts is moving to One "C" Street in Framingham.
The New England District Association of the Evangelical Free Church of America announces that one of its pioneer works of the last 18 months has moved to Framingham. Grace Evangelical Free Church has moved to 1C Street, on the corner of Hartford Avenue and C Street, just off route 126 in Framingham. Grace Evangelical Free Church has sensed God's direction for growth which has led the fellowship right to this historic land mark Church building in Framingham.
"There's plenty of room now for everyone at Grace E Free." said Pastor Tim Horton. "The family at Grace E Free welcomes all to our worship service, on Sundays at 9AM." "Now, God has given us the opportunity to minister to the 'least of these' in the heart of the Metrowest-Boston's major population center. "Being located at the edge of downtown Framingham, the 1-C Street church provides an ideal location from which to launch the next phase of this ministry.
We believe our new location is aligned perfectly with God's vision for Grace E Free. We are reminded of the admonition of St. Francis of Assisi to "Preach the Gospel, and when necessary use words." Grace Evangelical Free Church plans on ministering to the disenfranchised and poor of the area with Christ-centered recovery groups, outreach dinners, concerts, and a "toys for tots" Christmas party.
An ongoing, door-to-door canvas of the downtown Framingham area is planned as part of the Church's outreach ministry.
During the Sunday Morning Worship service a nursery will be provided for children 3 and under and kids from 4 to 12 can enjoy our special KFC feature. KFC (Kids for Christ) is a carefully planned and supervised time of Christian education and arts and crafts for youth it will occur during the regular Sunday morning service.
Those traveling route 9 should go south on route 126, which is Concord St and turn left on to Hartford Avenue, go a couple of blocks and you're there. 1-C Street is on the corner of Hartford Avenue in Framingham.
"It is our goal to reach those in the Framingham area previously not reached by the church. We plan on using the "Friendship Evangelism" model, where we'll attempt to meet the individual's physical needs and after gaining their trust we will minister to their Spiritual needs." Pastor Horton concluded.
Grace Evangelical Free Church is a church pioneered in cooperation with the Northeast District Association of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
