Framingham Police Investigate Death in Saxonville Aqueduct
FRAMINGHAM, MA -- On Wednesday September 6, 2023, residents in Saxonville began to notice Framingham Police and other official vehicles had opened the gates and driven into a section of the aqueduct which runs between Nicholas Road and Elm Street, behind Pinewood Drive.
Nearly a dozen uniformed Police Officers, Detectives and others searched through the wooded areas within the aqueduct property that includes thick brush, wetlands and a small stream of water that flows through a stone culvert under the aqueduct.
Neighbors on Pinewood Drive watched as police searched late in the afternoon, with one Framingham Detective identifying himself and stating that there was no cause for alarm -- that they were investigating the death of an elderly woman who they believe had suffered a "medical emergency".
After Framingham Police left, two SUV Vehicles with Massachusetts State license plates, (which were likely from the MA State Medical Examiner's office), were seen leaving through the aqueduct gate to Elm Street. The aqueducts in Framingham were primarily constructed on (MA) state owned property.
No further information is available at this time.
