Framingham Traffic Alerts Week of August 8-14, 2021
FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Motorists are advised that there may be construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of July 18th-24th, 2021. Please note: construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.
Arlington Street Water and Sewer Improvements Design Work - contractor will conduct soil explorations on Alexander, Summit, and Eames Street. Expect minor delays at times.
Blackberry Lane Sewer Pump Station - Pump station work continues. Blackberry Lane at Millwood Street will be closed to through traffic as needed during work hours. A detour will be in effect when the road is closed. Please seek an alternate route.
Central Street and Edgell Road Intersection Improvements Design Work - contractor will conduct soil explorations on Central Street and Edgell Road, Friday, August 13. Expect moderate delays at times. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.
Cochituate Rail Trail – Route 30/Cochituate Road - Sidewalk and curbing improvements continue during the day. Expect minor impacts at times during the day.
Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement - Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and/or a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
Grant Street Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements (Between Arthur and Hartford Streets) - Sidewalk pouring and paving preparation work. Expect minor to moderate delays. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.
Nipmuc Road Gas Main Installation - Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Nipmuc Road between Hollis Street and Wood Avenue. Expect minor delays. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
Nobscot Intersection Improvements Project - Overhead electrical and cable wire work continues. Expect minor delays.
Utility Pole Inspections and Restoration - Verizon - Dig safe paint markings will be noticeable in the public right-of-way near telephone poles throughout Framingham for Osmose’s utility pole inspections and restoration. Urban Street Sweeping Program – Area B - The Highway Division will street sweep Area B on Tuesday, August 10. NO PARKING will be allowed from 9 a.m. to Noon. Vehicles parked on the street will be ticketed and towed. The following streets will be swept during this operation: Avon Street, Bethany Road: #4-56, Bridges Street, Bridges Street Ext., Cedar Street, Charles Street, Claflin Street, Clifford Street, Coburn Street, Cypress Street, Hayes Street, Highland Street, Hilton Street, Mellen Street, Naples Street, Pine Street, Saucier Street, Waverly Court, and Winthrop Street.
Worcester Road (Rt. 9 Westbound between Caldor Road and Shoppers World) – Spot Water & Sewer Improvements
Water and sewer improvements will be made on Worcester Road/Rt. 9 Westbound between Caldor Road and Shoppers World, Monday-Thursday, 9 p.m.- 5 a.m. Lane closures will be in effect.
