Framingham Traffic Alerts / Road Construction July 18-24, 2021
FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Motorists are advised that there may be construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of July 18th-24th, 2021. Please note: construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.
Blackberry Lane Sewer Pump Station - Pump station and sewer main work continues. Blackberry Lane at Millwood Street will be closed to through traffic during work hours, and a detour will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route.
Cochituate Rail Trail – Route 30/Cochituate Road - Sidewalk and curbing improvements will be made. Expect minor delays at times.
Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement - Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and/or a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
Gilbert Street Gas Main Installation - Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Gilbert Street between Nipmuc Road and Winthrop Street. Expect minor delays. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
Grant Street Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements (Between Arthur and Hartford Streets) - Sidewalk excavation and curbing work. Expect minor to moderate delays. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.
Leland Street Sidewalk and Road Improvements (Between Irving and Beaver Streets) - Punch-list items. Expect minor delays.
Mt. Wayte Avenue Gas Main and Regulator Pit Replacement (Between Union Avenue and Franklin Street) – Eversource Gas will continue gas main work on Mt. Wayte Avenue. Expect moderate delays. A partial road closure will be in effect on Mt. Wayte Avenue eastbound. Traffic traveling eastbound will be detoured.
Nobscot Intersection Improvements Project - Overhead electrical work. Expect minor delays.
Utility Pole Inspections and Restoration - Verizon / Dig safe paint markings will be noticeable in the public right-of-way near telephone poles throughout the City for Osmose’s Citywide utility pole inspections and restoration. Urban Street Sweeping Program – Area C
The Highway Division will street sweep Area C on Tuesday, July 20. NO PARKING will be allowed from 9 a.m. to Noon. Vehicles parked on the street will be ticketed and towed. The following streets will be swept during this operation: Alexander Street, Arlington Place, Arlington Street, Blandin Avenue, Columbia Street, Eames Street, East Street, Gordon Street, Herbert Street, Irving Street #147-280, Marble Street, Phipps Street, Pratt Street, Roxanna Street, Snow Street, South Street, Summit Street, Taylor Street, Waushakum Street, and Wellington Avenue.
Worcester Road/Rt. 9 Westbound (Between Caldor Road and Shoppers World) – Spot water main improvements will be made on Worcester Road/Rt. 9 Westbound between Caldor Road and Shoppers World, Monday-Thursday, 9 p.m.- 5 a.m. Lane closures will be in effect.
