Framingham Daze Family Fair (and Duck Race)
FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham Rotary Club will be holding it's Framingham Daze Family Fair and the much anticipated Duck Race on Saturday June 12, 2010 from 11:00am until 4:00pm at Butterworth Park, (located at the corner of Grant St. and Bishop St.)
Money raised by the Framingham Rotary Club has been donated to improving Butterworth Park including installation of new playground equipment, a gazebo and more over the past few years. Improvements to Butterworth Park are one of the many worthwhile, local, charitable works funded by the club.
The Framingham Daze Family Fair will have something for everyone; a moonwalk, a dunk tank, pony rides, hay ride and petting zoo, face painting and temporary tattoos, local crafts, a bingo tent and food booths along the festival midway. A 5k race, vehicle show and tug of war competitions are also planned for the day.
The highlight of this year's Fair is the 4:00pm "Duck Race". Actually, unlike previous years when the rubber duckies were floated down the Sudbury River to a finish line, this year the ducks will be placed in the bouncy house at the fair, and local children will pick random ducks for the 1st place prize: a Trip for (4) to Disney World, the 2nd place prize: a Garmin GPS, and the 3rd place prize: Dinner for (4) at Ken's Steakhouse.
