Students Display Artwork at Barnes and Noble, Shoppers World
FRAMINGHAM, MA -- The Metrowest community is invited to enjoy an art exhibit showcasing creative works made by students from the MetroWest Jewish Day School(MWJDS) of Framingham.
The works are exhibited at Barnes and Noble at Shoppers World for the month of February; visit during school vacation. All 54 students have at least one piece of art displayed. Represented are portraits of Jerusalem, designs of Native American Molas, alphabet art in the style of Stuart Davis, mathematical designs in symmetry and two collaborative quilts.
The quilts were crafted by students to represent their images of Israel and Jewish life as we anticipate the celebration of Israel’s 60th birthday. MWJDS welcomes eager learners for grades K - 6. Families from across the spectrum of Jewish observance, including interfaith families, are encouraged to apply. For information call (508) 620-5554 or e-mail joyce.bohnen@mwjds.org.
