Mary Poppins Jr.
The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC) is pleased to present Mary Poppins, Jr. the musical, featuring a cast of students in grades 3-8, from the MetroWest area on Friday, August 2 at 6:30 pm at the Boston Church of Christ, 214 Concord Street, Framingham, MA 01702.Mary Poppins Jr. is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs and breathtaking dance numbers. Directed by Eliomar Nascimento, this musical is appropriate for children and adults of all ages. Free Parking is available at Boston Church of Christ. Bert introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. 7th Annual Framingham Vegetable Gardens Tour
Transition Framingham is hosting our 7th annual Framingham Vegetable Garden Tour on Saturday, August 24th, from 9am to 1pm. Join us for a free tour of home, school, and community gardens to get inspiration, ideas, and advice from local gardeners. This year’s tour includes a very special stop to see the garden at Framingham High School. The tour will be followed by a BBQ.We will provide bathroom breaks and snacks along the way. Please bring a reusable water bottle, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. This is a rain or shine event.Timing:9:00am - Meet at First United Methodist Church (360 Water St. Framingham) to enjoy some snacks and arrange carpooling.9:30am - Depart for a tour of several local gardens via car.1:00pm - Arrive back at First United Methodist Church to tour their Victory Over Hunger community garden and enjoy a BBQ lunch.
