Since debuting as Dennett earlier this year, Libby has expanded her research throughout New England, interviewing members of the Dennett and Chase families. A lot! Join Dr. Amy Finstein, architectural and urban historian at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, for a look at how concerns over metro-Boston's traffic congestion and economic vitality ultimately encouraged the exponential growth of western suburbs including Framingham in the 1950s and 1960s. We'll discuss favorite Boston retailers including Filene's and Jordan Marsh, local roads including the MassPike, and construction of the idyllic suburban neighborhoods that so many of us now call home.
