On Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 at 2:00pm, the Emergency Alert System (EAS) will be tested across the United States. For approximately 30 seconds, television, radio and other forms of communications will present an audio and visual message alerting people that the test is in progress. Veterans Day Ceremonies (at Cushing Memorial Park)
The Framingham Veterans Council will host Veterans Day ceremonies, Friday, November 11th, 2011 at Cushing Memorial Park, off Dudley Rd., (opposite Farm Pond), Framingham, MA. *** At 10:30a.m. veterans will form up in the Cushing Chapel parking lot, then move to the Cushing General Hospital Memorial for a flag ceremony by the Framingham Cub Scouts followed by a wreath laying ceremony. *** At 11:00a.m. a ceremonies inside Cushing Veterans Chapel will include a flag ceremony by the Framingham Girl Scouts, reading by Walsh Middle School students and speeches by local Politicians. *** This year's featured speaker is Vijay Saraswat, 2002 graduate of Framingham High School, former Sgt., US Marine Corps, two tours of duty in Iraq and currently an undergraduate at Tufts University. *** At conclusion of ceremony light refreshments will be served in lobby.
