Art making for children and their families! Families are invited to visit the museum and then create works of art together in the Museum School between 2 - 4 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month. Exciting art projects will be inspired by current exhibitions. Perfect for children ages 5-10, accompanied by parents, grandparents, or guardians. Charity Breakfast and Food Drive at the Framingham Masonic Hall
The Monthly Charity Breakfast and Food Drive will be held on Saturday, the 7th of February, 2009 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at the Framingham Masonic Hall, 404 Concord Street, Framingham. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausages are available for $4.00 per person.Proceeds go to Masonic Angels charities. All are welcome. We are continuing our Food Drive for "A Place To Turn". Relay for Life Dart Tournament
The Relay for Life of Natick and Framingham will conduct its third annual Dart Tournament on Feb. 7 at the Eagles Club, 55 Park Ave., Framingham. Doors open at 1 p.m. for practice, and the tournament will begin at 2 p.m. Games will include 501 and cricket; there will also be food and music, along with raffles. Registration for players is $12 per person per event. Preregistration is encouraged; get a free raffle ticket if you register before Feb. 1. The Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail is have its monthly meeting for February in Framingam. The meeting will be on Tuesday Feb. 10, 2009 in the Educational Building at The Garden In The Woods, 180 Hemmenway Road from 7 to 9 PM. The agenda for the meeting includes a program given by members of the bicycle community (to include The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, The Cochituate Rail Trail and the Framingham Bicycle and Pedestrian Advocacy Committee) of the ongoing bicycle related projects and activity in Framingham. This is an excellent, and unique opportunity, for those interested in promoting biking in Framingham to find out how you can get involved. Advise the Advisory Council - Round Table Discussion For parents/guardians of children with special needs who are served by the Framingham School DistrictOne of F-SEPAC's main roles is to advise the Framingham School District on matters pertaining to the education and safety of children with special needs in our town. We can't do that without hearing from YOU. What treatments/programs are working for your child(ren) with special needs? What's not?Provide input to the F-SEPAC Executive Committee (comprised of parents only) about your child's needs, your positive feedback and ongoing concerns. You will have an opportunity to share in a supportive, confidential environment. There will be no school personnel present.We will also make it possible for you to pose your questions anonymously, if you so desire. The F-SEPAC Executive Committee will then tally & summarize this input and provide it (without names) to the Framingham Schools administration for discussion and will propose action. No need to RSVP.
