Comedic singer songwriter Dan Hart features at Amazing Open comedy Mique show
START 2011 WITH A NITE OF LAUGHS!Comedic Singer Songwriter Dan Hart brings his witty lyrics and amazing guitar to feature at our monthly comedy mique show.Dan Hart has a rather cockeyed view of the world from his background as a psychologist (he has a Ph.D. gathering dust in his closet). He writes songs that make you laugh and think, not necessarily in that order.Hart works with to topics such as the environment, mass media, psychotherapy, and the dreaded holiday season.Dans CDs have received airplay on radio stations across the U.S., and two songs have been featured on National Public Radio's Car Talk program. Doctor Demento called his songs "very timely...quite amusing." His songs have received recognition in national songwriting competitions, including the Kerrville Festival's New Folk series.Hart's CD The Life of Dan features snappy, electric-folk arrangements and an assortment of characters including alienated kindergartners, retro fashion geeks, vegan cowboys; and yes, folkies and singer-songwriters. Now Amazing Things Arts Center in downtown Framingham is offering a NEW weekly program designed to introduce the steps and process for having fun at Salsa dancing. Annual Advise the Advisory Council Meeting
For Framingham parents/guardians of special kids only. One of F-SEPAC's main roles is to advise the Framingham School District on matters pertaining to the education and safety of children with special needs in our town. We can't do that without hearing from YOU. Here are some questions to think about...What treatments/programs are working for your child(ren) with special needs? What treatments/programs are not working for your child(ren) with special needs? Do you have ideas on how to make things work better in the school? Do you see things that could be changed for the better? Provide input to the F-SEPAC Executive Committee (comprised of parents only) about your child's needs, your positive feedback and ongoing concerns. You will have an opportunity to share in a supportive, confidential environment. There will be no school personnel present. We will also make it possible for you to pose your questions anonymously, if you so desire. The F-SEPAC Officers will then summarize this input and provide it (without names) to the Framingham Schools administration for discussion and proposed action.
