Framingham's Repair Cafe! (at Open Spirit)
Framingham's next Repair Cafe is getting under way and we're looking for handy volunteers. Bring it to the Repair Cafe Saturday, Oct 8th, 2022 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Open Spirit, 39 Edwards St, Framingham MA. *** Our volunteers can help fix many things for FREE including: clothing, lamps, small appliances, computers/other electronics, bikes, batteries, toys, jewelry, and sewing machines. We will also have a station for sharpening knives, scissors and garden tools. If you know what parts are needed, please get them ahead of time. Let us know if you have any questions.

Scholarly & Creative Showcase Series: Free STEM Textbooks: Open Educational Resources and Equity *** Wednesday, October 12, 2022, 6-8p.m., FSU Alumni Room, McCarthy Center & ZOOM Meeting. *** The adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER) and other free or low-cost course materials has the capacity to increase the successful engagement of students in their courses, both because of their affordability and because they may better ignite the interests and meet the needs of diverse populations. Have you been wondering how best to identify and incorporate such materials into your courses? Join us as FSU faculty members share their experiences using, adapting, and creating Open Educational Resources for STEM courses with an eye to improving equity in the classroom. Framingham's Annual Spooktacular Event (at City Hall)
Framingham's Annual Spooktacular Event will be held in the Memorial Building ("City Hall"), 150 Concord Street, Framingham, MA on Tuesday October 18, 2022, from 4:00pm 'til 6:30pm. *** Parent are encouraged to bring their little ones Trick-or-Treating, in costume. Each department will have a decorated office and Trick-or-Treaters are invited to go office to office to collect candy. Nevin's Hall (large auditorium inside the Memorial building) will be open for children's activities including a performance by Framingham Public Library staff, an ongoing showing of "It's The Great Pumpin Charlie Brown" and free popcorn! The Library's decorated BOO(K)-MOBILE will be outside for trick-or-treaters to visit. *** Parking will be in the municipal lot and on Union Ave and Concord Street. *** For any questions regarding event, please call the Mayor's office at (508) 532-5400.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Giant Indoor Yard Sale
St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church is hosting its first giant indoor yard sale on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 in the church hall. *** Doors open at 10:00am and close at 3:00pm. *** Featured in the sale will be houseware items, children’s toys, games and puzzles, clothes, decor, linens, pet accessories, coats and unopened new clothes, and some small furniture.
