Schools Can Save on Supplies & Copy Services at Office Depot

Photocopies only 3 cents for PTA through March 31, 2008

AREA – Office Depot helps tight school budgets by offering a number of ways to save money on school supplies and copying services.

Through the end of March, PTA’s (and PTO’s at store manager’s discretion) can order black and white copies for only 3 cents a copy. Colored paper is only a penny more per copy. Color copies are only 39 cents, instead of the regular 49 cents a copy. Other discounts on copies and copy center services may be available at the store manager’s discretion.

Schools can also earn merchandise cards through Office Depot’s 5% Back to School program. Parents and teachers can mention a pre-K - 12 grade school at the checkout. Most area schools are already automatically enrolled in the program and assigned an ID number, which the cashier looks up and enters as part of the checkout process.

The school will receive 5 percent credit towards school supplies on qualifying purchases. Quarterly the credits are totaled and a merchandise card is sent to the school. Some schools receive cards worth hundreds and even thousands of dollars that can be used on almost any item that Office Depot sells.

Many schools post the information about the 5% Back to School program on their websites and mention it in their newsletters. Flyers and wallet cards with the school ID number are available by request at Office Depot stores. Some schools even laminate the cards before distributing them to parents.

Schools and PTA’s and PTO’s can also sign up for the Office Depot Worklife Rewards program, which also earns merchandise cards.

Office Depot also offers schools discounts on supplies, office equipment, and copy center services when they sign up for a school account through the Office Depot Business Services Division.
