Witnesses Needed for January 22 Car Accident

Injured Driver asks for help

February 06, 2007  (12:29:55 EST)

FRAMINGHAM, MA – A local man was driving south on Concord Street in the Saxonville part of Framingham at 2:45pm on Monday, January 22 and was hit by a woman driver heading the opposite direction attempting to take a left onto A Street.

The man was driving a grey Honda CRV and the other driver a black Nissan Maxima. He was told since the ordeal that this intersection is infamous for vehicular accidents and has claimed at least one life and an estimated 20 wrecks in the past 12 years (This is according to a man who lives at the intersection who helped the injured man after the crash)

The injured driver, Tim Ganss, was immediately informed that it was the woman driver’s fault by witnesses who came to his aid. One witness, a woman driving a gold Mercedes station wagon, had blond hair, and appeared to be in her late forties-early fifties. She was directly behind Ganss and immediately told him that the other driver caused the accident. The other witness was a gentleman with a goatee who was about 6'2" with brown hair. He was particularly a Samaritan and stayed with Ganss until the police and paramedics arrived.

According to Ganss, the police did not gather witness information and now the woman driver is disputing what happened, claiming that Ganss was in her lane. An officer informed Ganss of the lack of witness information as Ganss was strapped to a straightboard in the ER. Calls by Ganss to the police department have been unreturned.

Ganss is asking the community to help him to find the witnesses to the accident. After a second set of x-rays (the first taken at the Metrowest Medical Center were deemed negative) the doctor found a fracture in his leg which will keep him out of work for the next 6 weeks.

Ganss has appealed to framingham.com and its visitors to get the word out to try and find any one with information about what happened. You can contact Ganss at 603.969.3202 or tganss@gmail.com. Anyone with information or that knows anyone that commutes to or from Framingham could be helpful to Ganss.

No lead is too small. Please spread the word to anyone who may fit these criteria, even in a small way. According to Ganss, a finders fee will be given to anyone helping find any one of the witnesses described above or anyone else who saw what happened.
