Framingham Cultural Institutions Offer Free Afternoon of Family Activities

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Pack up the kids and yourself for special events at our Framingham cultural institutions on Sunday afternoon, Sept 9th. See what awaits you and what is possible as they open their doors to greet the community.

Danforth Museum of Art: Family Day Open House Multiple events from 1 pm-4pm
• FREE Museum Admission
• FREE classes for children & adults in the Museum School
• FREE tours led by Teen Docents
• Opening Reception for Space Boy, by Author and Illustrator Leo Landry.
• NEW exhibit: the 2007 New England Photography Biennial

Performing Arts Center of MetroWest from 1-4pm
FREE Lesson Day. Take a FREE private instrument or voice lesson or sample a group class in music, theater and/or dance.

• Meet Ellen Sturgis the new Director.

Framingham Historical Society & Museum—3pm & 5pm
Learn about—and experience—how people absorbed art and culture 100 years ago at Framingham’s Chautauqua—A Celebration of Culture and Community.
