Veterans Acupuncture Care Metrowest
A local group of volunteer acupuncturists is offering free community acupuncture for veterans, active military, first responders and their families. The program addresses issues related to post combat stress such as sleep, anxiety, panic or other mood changes. VAC is located at St. Andrew's Church 3 Maple St. Framingham MA. The ongoing clinic will be open the hours of 10 a.m.-12 noon every Saturday. Last sitting is 11:30 am. Walk in. No appointment needed. Poetry Workshop Led by Alan Feldman
7:00pm - This drop-in class welcomes serious poets of all ages and levels of experience who would like to participate for one or more sessions. Each session begins with a discussion of a topic in poetry leading to a brief in-class assignment. Poets who wish to have their work discussed need to provide copies to distribute during the session. Alan Feldman is a professor emeritus at Framingham State University. Alan's new collection, Immortality, was awarded the Four Lakes Prize, from the University of Wisconsin Press in 2015. Stephen Bjork has gone cross-country as a headliner, performing at The Improv in Las Vegas, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Hilarities in Orlando, Florida, and several more. He's shared the stage with acts including Dane Cook, Steven Wright, Dom Irrerra, Dave Chappelle and Tommy Chong.
