Sat, Jun 10th Rectangular Clay Lanterns
Learn to make beautiful hand-built clay lanterns for your home or garden! Instructor Sam Nelson will walk you through how to make either a round or rectangular lantern, including carving, decoration, and color. Fri, Jun 16th Ladies Night
Join us for a night of hand-building with clay! Come with ideas or get inspiration from teacher Cheska Komissar. Make ceramic bowls, mugs, or containers with your friends, date, or girl-squad, all while enjoying conversation and laughs. Works will be decorated with carving or stamping, painted with underglaze, and fired in the kilns. Sat, Jun 17th Framingham Library Book Sale
Come to the Friends of the Library monthly book sale! With three rooms and thousands of items in stock, you’re sure to find books, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks in your favorite genre. You’ll notice new routes to the three sale areas this month (lobby, book room and bag room), but there will be plenty of signs and volunteers to ask. And if you become a member of the Friends this month, not only can you gain early entry to the sale at 9:30, but your membership is good until June 2018! Stop in---there’s always something new to discover at the library!

Come celebrate Father's Day with your family! Make a themed plate or platter with your favorite thing: sports, princesses, camping, etc. Or make a plate together that includes something from every family member. Tue, Jun 20th Framingham History Center Annual Meeting
After a short annual meeting where we need you, our members and donors, to vote on our budget and slate of officers, author J.L. Bell will speak about his most recent book, The Road to Concord: How Four Stolen Canon Ignited the Revolutionary War. Colonel Henry Knox’s journey from Fort Ticonderoga to Dorchester Heights with his “cannon train” is one of the most famous stories of the Revolutionary War and Framingham was one of the stops on the journey. But what do we really know about Knox’s operation? His diary stops before reaching Framingham, leaving John Adams’ letters as the primary source of information. Adams stopped in Framingham to review the cannon on his way to the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. Mr. Bell will be signing copies of his book following the program. Mon, Jun 26th Kids Interfaith Woodland and Wetland Adventure Week
Camp locations include Open Spirit, Garden in the Woods, Upper Mill Brook Conservation Area in Wayland, and Nobscot Reservation. We will also go canoeing.Explore the wonders of woods and fields and streams!Play games, explore trails and investigate rivers, brooks, and ponds. Make friends with a tree and get wet.Make nature crafts, keep a nature journal, and catch bugs. Every session will include hikes, activities, lunch time, and quiet time. Who: For children entering 2nd through 5th grade (or 6 years old by May 1)When: June 26-30 from 9:00am – 1:00pmWhere: Open Spirit (39 Edwards St. Framingham) and various local nature spots.
