Framingham Public Works Annual Open House (at DPW HQ)
Saturday, Dec. 7th, 2019, from 10:00am to 2:00pm *** The City of Framingham Department of Public Works will hold its third annual open house! *** Join us for a day of family fun! *** The community is invited to visit the DPW operations center and learn about the Department. *** Activities will include a touch-a-truck exhibit, arts and crafts, and games. *** Light refreshments will be served. *** Admission is free of charge. *** Donation bins will be set up to collect clothing/hygiene and non-perishable food items to help support local charities. *** Everyone is welcome to attend! *** Framingham DPW Headquarters, 100 Western Ave., Framingham, MA 01702

Gifts that Give Holiday Fair (at Edwards Church)
Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1:00pm 'til 4:00pm *** Join us for Edwards Church's annual "Gifts that Give" holiday fair in the Edwards Hall building, 39 Edwards Street, Framingham, MA *** Three things about this fair that make it special: 1). Everything you buy at this fair helps to make our world a better place. There is Fair Trade coffee, tea and chocolates -- high quality and delicious, and sourced to ensure that the farmers earn a living wage. There are beautiful international handicrafts, also Fair Trade, so that most of the profit goes to the artisans. There are scarves that go to help A Place to Turn Food Pantry, crafts to support vulnerable neighbors, and more! 2). Back by popular demand, Santa will arrive on an antique fire truck, and will happily pose for pictures. No charge, no standing in line, just fun! 3). This year, there will be a special project table for young people. While you shop, your kids can something special--perhaps an early holiday gift for you! It is sponsored by the Edwards Church Green Team, so it will be sustainable and earth-friendly.
