A Christmas Carol: A Dramatic Reading (at Library)
7:00pm -- Performed by: Dr. Helen Heineman, President Emerita, Framingham State University. This reading has become an annual tradition, so don't miss the opportunity to see Charles Dickens' masterpiece come to life! Dickens prepared a special reading version of A Christmas Carol that he used during reading tours in England and America, ending in Boston. Dr. Heineman will perform a dramatized reading of this version, enhancing the story with a slideshow of over 250 slides that depict nearly every illustrated version of the story since it first appeared in 1843! 27th Annual Framingham Auxiliary Police Holiday Craft Fair
The Framingham Auxiliary Police are holding their twenty-seventh annual Craft Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014. The event will be held at the Keefe Vocational Technical High School, 750 Winter Street, Framingham, MA.The Craft Fair will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. where you will find a unique holiday shopping experience. During this fund raising event there will be over 200 exhibitors selling various merchandise including hand made crafts, hand crafted jewelry, hand decorated clothing, sketches, photographs and much, much more!!! Admission $2.50, children under 12 free. This year John Henry's World of Magic will present three magic shows for our customers, at 11a.m., 1p.m. and 3p.m. So stop by and shop for the holidays and be mystified all at the same time.

Plymouth Church Invites Public to Christmas Cantata
(Framingham, MA) The Plymouth Church in Framingham, a partner in the Metrowest community for over 300 years, is delighted to invite the public to a special holiday musical event. During worship, at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 21st, the Senior Choir will perform a Christmas Cantata, written by Joseph Martin.Composed in the spirit of folk music, the cantata Appalachian Winter combines traditional sounds with more rustic elements, creating a blend that is fresh and pleasing. Thoughtful narration weaves the movements together in a meaningful tapestry of song and Scripture. It is a cantata that celebrates the legacy of early American carols and hymnody. Adding to the richness of this holiday experience will be a multimedia presentation of Appalachian scenes during the performance.
