28th Annual Framingham Christmas Tree Lighting (City Hall)
Friday, December 6th 2019, festivities from 5:45pm 'til 8:00pm *** All are welcome to watch as Santa & Mrs. Claus use a little holiday magic to light a 35-foot white spruce tree in front of City Hall. *** Before Santa & Mrs. Claus light the tree, the Girl Scouts will help get people in the holiday mood with some merry music, and Framingham Public Library staff will hand out popcorn to attendees. *** Afterward, everyone will head inside for cookies, hot chocolate, a concert from the Framingham Middle Schools Jazz Band, face painting from Keefe Tech, and visits and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, (this year, taken in front of a green screen and available for digital download the next day for free!) *** For the second year, each child will get a book. *** Framingham City Hall, 150 Concord Street, Framingham, MA.

Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1:00pm 'til 4:00pm *** Join us for Edwards Church's annual "Gifts that Give" holiday fair in the Edwards Hall building, 39 Edwards Street, Framingham, MA *** Three things about this fair that make it special: 1). Everything you buy at this fair helps to make our world a better place. There is Fair Trade coffee, tea and chocolates -- high quality and delicious, and sourced to ensure that the farmers earn a living wage. There are beautiful international handicrafts, also Fair Trade, so that most of the profit goes to the artisans. There are scarves that go to help A Place to Turn Food Pantry, crafts to support vulnerable neighbors, and more! 2). Back by popular demand, Santa will arrive on an antique fire truck, and will happily pose for pictures. No charge, no standing in line, just fun! 3). This year, there will be a special project table for young people. While you shop, your kids can something special--perhaps an early holiday gift for you!
