15th Annual Flutie 5K for Autism (in Natick)
Join Doug Flutie and hundreds of others at the 15th Annual Flutie 5K to benefit the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, on Sunday, October, 5 2014. *** The road race begins at 11:20am at the MetroWest Medical Center / Leonard Morse Hospital and takes runners on a scenic five kilometer (3.1 miles) course through Natick, before finishing back at the hospital. *** Pre-race festivities include a reenactment of the legendary Hail Mary pass featuring Doug Flutie and Gerard Phelan at 10:45am. Wednesday, October 8, 12:30 *** Join photographer Brian Kaplan to discuss works featured in the exhibition "Not Your Vacation." Brian Kaplan's work is part of an extensive project documenting Cape Cod in the off-season. Kaplan's stark views of shuttered motels and abandoned tourist traps challenge the often nostalgic and idealized depictions of this popular vacation destination.
